Snapelastomer 2802 is a high-performance elastomer modifier designed for EVA and TPU systems, delivering enhanced wear resistance and reliable traction performance.
By leveraging a viscoelastic mechanism, it effectively increases friction under both dry and wet conditions, helping to prevent slipping, especially in moisture-exposed environments.
The material offers excellent dispersion and stable processing behavior, making it easy to integrate into foaming, extrusion, and injection molding processes. It provides functional improvement while preserving the mechanical properties of the base material, ensuring a balanced combination of durability and performance. Ideal for footwear applications including sports, casual, fashion footwear, and leather shoe soles where safety, grip, and longevity are required.

Key Benefits

1) Enhance the wear resistance and anti-slip properties of EVA;

2) The DIN volume wear of the product can be significantly reduced, and the wear resistance is greatly improved, effectively extending the service life of the shoe sole;

3) Unlike traditional wear resistance additives which reduce the friction coefficient, this product, through the viscoelastic mechanism, can increase the dry/wet friction coefficient of the material, solving the problem of “slip when water is present” in EVA sole;

4) After interface compatibility treatment, Snapelastomer2802 has good dispersion in the EVA foaming system;

5) At the recommended dosage, it has little impact on the tensile strength, tear strength and hardness of the base material, and can achieve functional modification without sacrificing the basic properties……

Application

Addition levels between 5.0~10.0% are recommended. Strongly suggest to pre-blend Snapelastomer2802 and thermoplastic pellets prior to introduction to extrusion process.
