SILIKE Si-TPV thermoplastic elastomer is a dynamic vulcanized thermoplastic silicone-based elastomer which made by a special compatible technology to help silicone rubber dispersed in TPU evenly as a 2~3 micron particles under microscope. Those unique materials combine the strength, toughness and abrasion resistance of any thermoplastic elastomer with desirable properties of silicone: softness, silky feel, UV light and chemicals resistance which can be recycled and reused in traditional manufacturing processes.

Applications

Si-TPV 3100-55A is not only a versatile raw material but also features an innovative silicone-based modifier and additive. This combination provides a long-lasting, skin-friendly soft touch and excellent stain resistance. Free from plasticizers and softeners, it ensures safety and performance without any precipitation, even after extended use. This series serves as an effective plastic additive and polymer modifier, making it ideal for enhancing thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) or thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) formulations.
Si-TPV not only imparts a silky, pleasant feel but also reduces TPU hardness, achieving an optimal balance of comfort and functionality. It provides a matte finish, along with durability and abrasion resistance, making it an ideal solution for various applications, including consumer goods, automotive parts, EV charging cables, medical devices, water pipes, hoses, and sports equipment—where comfort, durability, and aesthetic appeal are essential.
Unlike conventional silicone additives, Si-TPV is supplied in pellet form and processes like a thermoplastic. It disperses finely and homogeneously throughout the polymer matrix, with the copolymer physically bound, preventing migration or "blooming." This makes Si-TPV a reliable and innovative solution for achieving silky-soft surfaces in thermoplastic elastomers or other polymers, without the need for additional processing or coatings.

How to use

1. Directly injection molding.

2. Mix SILIKE Si-TPV 3100-55A and TPU at a certain proportion, then extrusion or injection.

3. It can be processed with reference to TPU processing conditions, recommend processing temperature is 160~170 ℃.

Remark:

1. Si-TPV elastomer products can be manufactured using standard thermoplastic manufacturing processes, including overmolding or co-molding with plastic substrates such as PP,PA.
2. The extremely silky feel of Si-TPV elastomer does not require additional processing or coating steps.
3. The process conditions may vary with individual equipment and processes.
4. A desiccant dehumidifying drying is recommended for all drying.

25KG / bag, craft paper bag with PE inner bag.

Shelf life and storage:

Transport as non-hazardous chemical. Store in a cool and well ventilated place.
Original characteristics remain intact for 12 months from the production date if kept in recommend storage.
